I hope this finds you doing well and staying warm. We are having lots of cold weather and snow. The mister is working from home as they are advising no traveling on the icy roads. His choice of background music is about to make me jump out the window of our second floor bedroom! Yikes! We have had Electric companies warning customers to cut back on using their electricity because they can’t keep up with the demand. We aren’t equipped for the cold icy weather down here as we normally don’t see these frigid temperatures much and snow that hasn’t completely melted away. It’s just enough to cause problems on the roads.
Would this cardinal be as spectacular in grey/white?
Elle Decor Magazine has predicted Sage to be huge this year. According to Elle ~ “There’s been a 170% increase in saves for “sage” decor (On Pinterest) — and it’s easy to see why. This greyish green hue is a soft, muted color that’s easy to decorate with, but doesn’t veer into boring or predictable territory, hence why it’s being dubbed a new neutral.” Here. There were other colors included in forecasts for 2018. Of course since sage green lives here and has never left I was happy to see that. But I don’t really put a lot of faith into color trends.
In other news, the sofa is back in front of the windows and I have been enjoying the change. It has worked especially well with the cold weather. The red pillows and throws from Christmas are still being enjoyed. They bring warmth to the room. That visual warmth is so required in the winter when there is no color to be seen outdoors and it’s so cold.

That chair looks so cosy. Love sage (any green, really) and Lavender is a color of the year. They must be reading your blog. Stay warm, my dear and thank you for the lovely pix.
Thank you Princess! Love purple shades with green, they are always so pretty together.
I use a lot of sage green in my desert home.
Your home is such a delight! And your icy photos are lovely.
Thank you Nancy!
