We visited this home before, only a room but it’s my favorite room in the grand home. Let’s take a look today at the home.

With so many homes showing little or no color I thought this home with liberal use of color especially in one room was a home that needed to be shared. Nancy Hoguet’s Long Island home, which was renovated by designer Daniel Sachs and architect Kevin Lindores of the New York firm Sachs Lindores Architecture, Interiors.

The front door gleams in Fine Paints of Europe’s Delft Blue. The enamel finish, called Hollandlac Brilliant, is often used on boats.

French mirror hangs in the entry hall.

The breakfast room features an antique Italian table, the cement floor tiles were custom made in Italy.

In the sunroom, a pair of barrel-back armchairs wearing a Brigitte Singh fabric.

The kitchen includes pendant lights and a bespoke copper hood; the range is by Bertazzoni, and the cabinetry at far right is painted in Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue. It seems that shade of blue runs through the house in one place or another.

An 18th-century Swedish chandelier hangs above the dining room table.

Do you remember this room? We visited it before. I was so in love with the room the first second I saw it. The living room’s bookshelves are backed with Italian bookbinding paper.

Yes, it’s this side of the of the living room. I was totally shocked at the way this was done. It’s photographed differently making the walls appear much more orange. The large artwork with the patterns in the room appear angry and aggressive to me. I checked and double checked to make sure this was indeed in the same living room. The artwork by Philip Taaffe hangs above the custom-made sofa covered in a Lee Jofa print. I know you want your sources for fabrics with print!
