School is starting very soon here. It starts in early August which makes me look forward to Autumn. However we don’t see any signs of a new season until late in the year. But a girl can dream of cool evenings and bright blue skies filled with leaves of warm hues. That is such a special time of year and is so fleeting here if we see much sign of it. Many times it doesn’t arrive properly until right before Christmas. That always frustrates me but that’s the way it is. We do get early Springs and are cutting our grass when much of the country still has snow. So I suppose it is a trade off.
In that vein of thinking of school starting and dreaming of fall days, I have a copper tub filled with roses and assorted flowers. It’s like having your big toe in both seasons! Pink and white colors pick up the colors in my drapes and sofa pillows.
Very early shots in the morning look a little different because I need more light.
The flowers are in individual glasses with a small amount of water in each one. I used grocery bags stuffed in between the glasses to hold them steady and keep them from jarring against one another and breaking. Then I finished it off with green moss.

We finally had a week of almost really summer, without the storms or blistering heat that allows you only to hunker down indoors. The garden is slow and just now starting with tomatoes. I hope we have a few more ‘summer’ days before fall bites us,.
I hope you get to enjoy your tomatoes, Sandy. We always have heat with sky high humidity. I basically don’t go outside until October! Thanks for commenting!
Loving that copper tub! Being a Minnesota gal, I’m not ready for summer to end yet.
Thanks Joanna! I bet you have lovely summers in Minnesota.
I just found your blog, and am in love with your style, the soft and romantic
I am so glad you did Missie. Thank you so much!
Your room is perfect for your lovely flower arrangement, with the roses on your rug and on your curtains! I also don’t get much Fall here in Florida, but it just makes me want to decorate for it all that much more! Bring on the fake Fall flowers! Thanks for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
Thank you Chloe! That’s right, there’s always a way to bring Fall inside!
